Diagnostic MRI
|
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) St. Anthony’s Signa MR/i provides powerful diagnostic images while improving patient comfort – especially for patients who don't like the feel of a traditional closed MRI. One of the first of its kind in Oklahoma, the Signa MR/i is shorter than a typical MRI providing a more open feel without sacrificing performance. Its higher gradient strength makes this MRI two to three times faster than other machines, which means it takes less time to complete scans – a real plus for patients.
The Signa MR/i provides superb imaging of the bones, spine and blood vessels. It can detect a stroke in its earliest stages, provide high definition pelvic imaging, and can be helpful in early diagnosis when other tests have come back inconclusive.
Mammography & Stereotactic Breast Biopsy In addition to conventional mammography, St. Anthony offers MRI mammography for women with fibrocystic tissue or implants. Every mammogram and MRI exam is interpreted by a board-certified radiologist. If a suspicious lump is found, our stereotactic breast biopsy unit gives you the option of a non-surgical biopsy using computer-driven, high-speed needle aspiration.
Questions? For more information about our MRI, contact the Diagnostic Institute at St. Anthony between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at 405/272-6688. |
