Ed Harding, President and CEO |
The H1N1 virus is on our minds as the cooler weather and flu season approaches. With new information surfacing every day it can be overwhelming. Columbus Community Hospital is here for you, prepared to test and treat your family for the virus if the need arises.
Our staff has been in continuous preparation. We are constantly reviewing new information, education and guidelines, so you can be assured you are in good hands. Most recently, in an effort to assist the CDC in educating the public, we added a H1N1 link at the bottom right hand side of our web page, www.cch-inc.com. This link takes the reader to the CDC website page about the H1N1 virus. Here you will find useful information about proper hand washing and other useful tips; facts including symptoms; and up-to-date news regarding the virus.
Please consider the following tips to assist you in staying healthy:
-
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water (long enough to recite the ABCs or sing “Happy Birthday” twice)
-
Get enough sleep
-
Stay home if you are sick
-
Avoid contact with sick people
-
Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
-
Teach children to cover coughs and sneezes
-
Go to CDC.gov for updates
I sincerely hope you and your loved ones remain healthy during the upcoming flu season. Should the need arise; remember that Columbus Community Hospital is here for you.
