POSITION SUMMARY Under General supervision, assists in the development of the patient rehabilitation treatment plan and carries out this treatment plan including activities and patient education. Maintains appropriate records of treatment according to hospital and JCAHO standards. Contributes and participates in patient/ family conference when directed by the Occupational Therapist.
POSITION SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Coordinates patient rehabilitation therapy plans including teaching daily living skills. Assesses patient process and problems and documents observation in patient records. Modifies treatment as needed, when directed by Occupational Therapist. Performs group therapy treatments and education sessions as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Participates in patient conferences and team meetings with multidisciplinary caregivers to develop treatment procedures which enhance patient care. Will fill in for Activity Coordinator. Attends and contributes to patient/family conferences when directed by the Occupational Therapist. Assists Occupational Therapist in establishment and implementation of effective treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
REQUIREMENTS Graduate of an COTA accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Current CPR Certification.
HOURS Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am-10:30am. Wednesday 7am - 1pm. |

POSITION SUMMARY The Medical-Surgical Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the healthcare team who, working under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, organizes and implements certain aspects of the plan of care for the adult, adolescent, elderly, pediatric and infant patients. The CNA checks vital signs, provides bath and hygiene care, meal assistance, and assistance with ambulation and transfers. The CNA communicates in a timely manner with the patient, family and healthcare team, and documents care per hospital protocol. May be required to work on other units according to the distribution of staff and patients and individual competency.
POSITION SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Demonstrates professional responsibility in the CNA role. Performs observations or tasks designed to assist in the gathering of data relevant to a diverse group of medical, surgical, pediatric and telemetry patients, to include vital signs, height and weight, intake and output, blood glucose monitoring, ambulation, patient transfers, lab specimen collection, and documents in the patient’s record. Participates in the provision of care and implementation of care paths for adult, elderly, adolescent, pediatric and infant patients. Incorporates patient safety goals into daily practice. Assures a safe, therapeutic environment for patient, family, visitors and staff. Demonstrates organizational skills for a diverse group of patients and for the department. Reports abnormal vital signs to RN in a timely fashion. Demonstrates communication skills with other health care workers, patients and families. Practices and participates in proper infection control techniques. Demonstrates competency in safe operation of equipment. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

POSITION SUMMARY The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the patient care team. The RN provides nursing care for adults, pediatrics, infants, adolescents, and elderly through physical, psychological and social assessments and then formulates a nursing diagnosis, and develops an individualized plan of care. The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making and prioritization of activities. Education of patient’s family and other health care team members is provided by the RN, incorporating health maintenance, disease process and discharge planning. May be required to work on other units according to the distribution of staff and patients and individual competency.

Incorporates patient safety goals into daily nursing practice. Assures a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families, visitors and staff. Uses critical thinking skills during the medication administration process. Follows department policies and guidelines during the medication administration process. POSITION SUMMARY The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for transcribing medical dictated information into quality reports and documents. This includes proofreading, processing, and distributing transcribed reports; and, transcribing dictation according to Columbus Community Hospital prioritization policy. This position is working in-house, not from home.
POSITION SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Transcribe medical dictated information into quality reports and documents in accordance with Columbus Community Hospital accuracy and productivity standards. Accuracy standard – 98% measured monthly by random selection of records. Productivity standard – Productivity minimum of 100 lines/hour measured each pay period. Proofread, spellcheck, process, and distribute transcribed reports to appropriate parties. Transcribe dictation according to Columbus Community Hospital prioritization policy. Utilizes reference materials, including but not limited to: Stedman’s electronic spellchecker and medical dictionary; Stedman’s library of medical dictionaries; Journal of the American Association of Medical Transcriptionists (AAMT); other word books, drug books, internet search, and medical dictionaries provided by Columbus Community Hospital. Demonstrates computer skills so as to trouble-shoot computer malfunctions, then contact IT for support if indicated. Demonstrates thorough understanding of Lanier dictation equipment (Voicewriter telephones, as well as mobile dictation units) so as to train physicians, conduct test jobs, and trouble-shoot equipment malfunctions.
REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Transcriptionist Program and certification as a Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred. Minimum education level of associate degree or two to three years work experience. Intermediate word processing proficiency required. This includes the ability to: produce quality and professional appearing medical reports, letters, memos and e-mails; utilize electronic medical spellchecker and dictionary; and, create and utilize form letters. Must be able to transcribe 100 lines/hour. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel (or other spreadsheet software) preferred. This includes the ability to: create daily and monthly logs and summary reports; insert simple formulas; and, manipulate the design and appearance of worksheets. Familiarity with medical terminology required.

POSITION SUMMARY
Supervises the daily operations of the Purchasing and Materials Management/Central Sterilization department; serving as the primary “go to” person and resource to answer questions and address issues pertaining to the hospital’s purchasing, receiving, and materials management departments.. Assists the director in hiring of employees for the area, performance evaluations and dismissal when appropriate.
POSITION SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
Serve as expertise related to supply chain functions through the organizations GPO contracting to promote single point of contact service for customers for supply chain needs. Conducts product evaluations for medical and surgical supplies, working in cooperation with affected departments. Obtains bids on capital equipment and other products/services as required by prudent buyer concepts, and in compliance with hospital guidelines; works to improve the analysis of fixed asset purchasing by providing detailed summaries of each purchase for Administration’s review. Ensures that hospital practices for obtaining supplies and equipment comply with the guidelines of prudent buying concepts and best ethical standards. Responsible for ensuring the department is staffed in accordance with established guidelines, with quality and patient safety expectations in mind.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. Three to five years related work experience is required. Experience using computers including microcomputers is required. Must be able to use spreadsheet and word processing software .

POSITION SUMMARY The staff Physical Therapist is responsible for providing direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations through the use of evaluation methods and techniques, exercise, equipment, and physical agents to improve strength, balance coordination, range of motion, and to decrease pain to restore a patient's optimal mobility and functional ability, as well as provide education for the prevention of further injuries.
POSITION SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS Evaluates and treats inpatient and outpatient clients using acceptable techniques, modalities and procedures. Understand and operate treatment and documentation equipment such as: computer, biofeedback; iontophoresis; ultrasound etc. Supervision of PT assistant, aide, and students of PT/PTA programs. Performs manual muscle test. Analyzes and performs gait training and mobility training. Interprets physiologic response. Interprets PT plan of care. Develops and revises individual goals. Assesses patient response to treatment. Provides patient and family education. Utilizes physical agents. Performs manual techniques. Manages burn/wound care
EDUCATION Doctorate, masters degree or baccalaureate degree in PT from a fully accredited physical therapy program. Valid PT license in the State of WI. CPR certification. Computer knowledge preferred. Experience in clinical PT preferred.
