OUR MISSION:
The mission of Columbus Community Hospital is to identify and meet the healthcare and wellness needs of the people and the communities we serve.

Rehabilitation

The Columbus Community Hospital Rehabilitation Department continually evolves to meet the needs of our patients. Services currently offered include: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, and Audiology.

Physical Therapy - Services for all ages include, but are not limited to: traction, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and individualized exercise programs, as well as evaluation and treatment following orthopedic surgery and sports injuries. Now offering vestibular rehab, incontinence therapy, and pulsed lavage for wound care.

Occupational Therapy - Services include, but are not limited to, evaluation and treatment of upper extremity range of motion, strength, sensation, coordination and dysfunction as well as functional ability to carry out activities of daily living including work and leisure activities. Our Occupational Therapist is also Lymphedema Certified.

Speech Therapy - Services include the evaluation and treatment of speech, language (expressive, receptive, written and reading), voice, fluency, cognition and swallowing disorders, including videofluoroscopic swallow studies.

Cardiac Rehab - Our Cardiac Rehab Program is designed to help people diagnosed with or who are at risk for heart disease. Initially, the program includes supervised exercise sessions and education classes to promote a healthy lifestyle. We also offer our popular Fitness For Life program to help patients maintain this level of fitness for a lifetime.

Audiology - Services include the evaluation and treatment of hearing disorders for patients ranging in age from infants to geriatric, as well as fittings for hearing aids and ear plugs.

The department is located on the hospital's first floor. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday - Friday. Occupational Therapy begins at 7:00 a.m. Other hours are available by appointment.
