4-06-05 New Diversity Council Convenes

The inaugural meeting of the Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) was held March 16 and 17, 2005 at the Renaissance Airport Hotel in St. Louis. After completing a two-day orientation, the team attended the Anti-Defamation League's World of Diffenence Institute award event where SSM Health Care received the 2005 Workplace Diversity Award.

DAC is a system-wide team created to advise the organization on the development and implementation of projects and activities that will assist the organization in meeting and/or exceeding its diversity strategic goals. The Diversity Advisory Council will also exchange best practices information with the system to promote diversity and to provide exceptional health care services.
