Anesthesiology:  administration of anesthetics to alleviate pain and suppress consciousness, as well as monitor and support life functions during surgery

 

Cardiology:  prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease

 

Cardiothoracic Surgery:  surgical treatment of diseases and injuries of the heart and chest

 

Dermatology:  diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin

Emergency Medicine:  evaluation and treatment of unexpected injury and illness

 

Family Medicine:  comprehensive primary health care for people of all ages -- from newborns to the elderly -- and all medical problems

 

Gastroenterology:  treatment of disorders of the digestive system and diseases of the stomach, intestine, liver, gallbladder and pancreas

Internal Medicine:  specializing in adult primary care medicine, specifically the diagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases

 

Nephrology:  focus on the kidneys and especially with their structure, functions, or diseases

 

Neurology:  treatment of diseases and disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nervous system

 

Obstetrics & Gynecology:  care for women before, during and after pregnancy, and at menopause as well as the medical and surgical treatment of the female reproductive and urinary systems

 

Oncology / Hemotology:  diagnosis and treatment of cancer and diseases of the blood and blood-making tissues

 

Ophthalmology:  diagnosis and treatment of vision disorders and diseases of the eye

 

Orthopaedic Medicine:  specializing in diseases and injuries of the bones, joints, and muscles

 

Otolaryngology / ENT:  diagnosis, medical, and surgical treatment for conditions of the ear, nose and throat

 
Pain Management:  applies science to the reduction of pain.  Pain medicine covers a wide spectrum of conditions including neuropathic pain, cancer pain, postoperative pain and more.

Pathology:  studies the essential nature of disease, especially as it relates to the structural and functional changes in the tissues and organs of the body that cause or are caused by disease

 

Pediatrics:  offering preventive care and treatment of illnesses for children and adolescents 

 

Physical Medicine & Rehabiltation:  treatment for acute and chronic pain, musculoskeletal problems, and conditions resulting from strokes, orthopedic injuries, or neurologic disorders such as multiple sclerosis, polio, or ALS

 

Plastic Surgery:  the restoration, correction or improvement of the shape and appearance of body structures that are defective or damaged by injury, disease, growth or development

 

Psychiatry:  the prevention, diagnosis and medical treatment of mental and emotional disorders such as depression, anxiety, phobias and schizophrenia

 

Pulmonology:  diagnosis, management, and treatment of lung disease

 

Radiation Oncology:  treatment of cancer with therapeutic radiation, also called radiation therapy or radiotherapy

Radiology:  uses x-rays, mammography, CT scan, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, MRI and image-guided interventional procedures to visualize the body and its organs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients

Rheumatology:  the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases of muscles and joints including arthritis

Surgery: surgical intervention or treatment of injuries and disease responsive to operative treatment

Urogynecology: treatment of urinary tract and pelvic disorders in women

Urology: specializing in diseases of the urinary tract and sex organs in males
