Plans are continuing for the $140 million new community medical campus in Janesville; however the completion date has been extended. The project includes the 50-bed St. Mary's Janesville Hospital and an adjacent physician office complex. The hospital will be part of SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, parent company of St. Mary's Hospital in Madison and St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo.

Dean Health System will develop the new physician office complex. It will offer a broad array of services comparable to those already provided at Dean's Riverview Clinic.

Procedures currently performed at the Riverview Surgery Center, jointly owned by Dean and SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, will be performed at the new hospital. The medical campus will be located near Interstate 90 at Highway 11.

The new hospital and physician complex are expected to open with approximately 344 employees.
