Low-Fat Party Mix
Recipe adapted by Marilyn Dougherty, RD/LD
St. Anthony North SCORE
1 (1/2 oz) envelope of butterbuds
1/2 cup hot water
1/3 cup sodium-reduced Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp canola oil
3/4 tsp garlic powder
3/4 tsp seasoned salt
Several drops bottled hot pepper sauce
Heat and stir the butter mixture. Spray roasting pan with cooking spray.
Mix:
5 cups pretzels
4 cups bran chex
3 cups bits size shredded wheat'n bran
4 cups Cheerios
3 cups corn chex
Add butter mixture. Toss to coat. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 min. Stirring every 15 min. Cool to serve.
Serving size: 1/2 cup approximately 80 calories. 16 gm carbohydrate 1 gm fat.
