At SSM Health Care, we are working hard to create a culture where everyone thinks about safety first. A key part of safety is creating a climate where people feel safe to speak up when they feel something isn’t right.

If a young boy notices that his caregiver hasn’t washed her hands, what should he do?
He should Speak Up!

 |
A wife is concerned that her husband is unusually pale and doesn’t look right. What should she do?
She should Speak Up! |
 |
An employee notices a coworker taking a potentially dangerous short-cut to save time. What should he do?
He should Speak Up!
|
Help us send the message loud and clear: if you see something wrong or potentially harmful, don’t wait for someone else to notice or intervene – Speak Up! Our patients’ safety depends on it!
