SSM Named One of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare
ST. LOUIS (Sept. 8, 2010) - Modern Healthcare Magazine announced yesterday that St. Louis-based SSM Health Care has been selected as one of its Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2010. The Modern Healthcare awards program recognizes workplaces in healthcare that enable employees to perform at their optimum level to provide patients and customers with the best possible care and services.
The results were based on a detailed benefits and policies questionnaire completed by SSM as well as an online survey of 400 randomly selected SSM employees. Topics in the employee survey included questions about SSM’s leadership and planning, work environment, and overall satisfaction with the organization. This is the first time SSM has appeared on the Modern Healthcare “best places to work” list.
A non-ranked, alphabetical Best Places to Work list has been published (click here to view), and a video announcement is also available on Modern Healthcare’s website (click here to watch). Specific rankings will be announced at the Modern Healthcare awards gala on Oct. 18, and the ranked list also will be published in the Oct. 25 edition of the magazine.
Modern Healthcare entered into a partnership with the Best Companies Group, a firm that conducts regional "best places to work" programs across the country. Organizations and companies from all segments of the healthcare industry with a minimum of 25 full-time employees were eligible.
