Our Quality of Care

Patients are partners in improving the quality of care we provide at SSM Health Care's hospitals and other facilities. How? By completing inpatient surveys after their visits to our facilities. The results of those surveys are used by our caregivers to determine what we need to improve on and how we compare with other hospitals nationwide and in their respective states.

Our results appear below. In March 2008, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) began posting the results of these patient satisfaction surveys known as Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems. These surveys ask patients about their experiences with care during recent overnight stays in our hospitals.

St. Anthony Hospital

This table shows eight aspects of care considered most important by patients, plus "overall rating of care" and "willingness to recommend the hospital to others." Survey questions have response options ranging from "never" to "always." The percentages reported in the table reflect the highest rating possible or the percent of patients that said "always."
