Jimmy Jones Legacy

Legendary horse trainer Horace Allyn "Jimmy" Jones trained horses to international glory, but he never forgot his roots. Jones, from nearby Parnell, Missouri, left the St. Francis Hospital Foundation with $7.2 million following his death in 2001. The money was designated for construction of private, patient rooms. St. Francis Hospital finished the construction of the new wing, featuring 38 private patient rooms, in the summer of 2004. A display case honoring Jimmy Jones is filled with racing memorabilia and can be viewed near the nurses station on first floor.

A book on the life and horses of Jimmy Jones can be viewed by clicking on the document below (must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer to view).
