To promote better health, St. Francis Hospital and Health Services is entirely tobacco free. Tobacco use by employees, patients and visitors – both inside and outside our facility – is prohibited.

Cigarette smoking is the number one source of preventable morbidity and premature morbidity worldwide, and is responsible for approximately one in five deaths in the United States.

The SSM Health Care tobacco-free policy is intended to create a healthier environment for everyone who comes to St. Joseph Hospital to receive care, visit a friend or family member, or to work.
